THE DECORATION MOTIVE IS AN IMAGE OF THE SO CALLED ''FASCINUS'' THE ANCIENT ROMAN EMBODIMENT OF THE DIVINE PHALLUS.'' THE FASCINUS'' WAS A SYMBOL OF MASCULINITY AND POWER AND WAS WORN IN THE FORM OF AMULETS BY ROMAN SOLDIERS, BELIEVED TO GIVE THEM POWER. IN THE 21ST CENTURY MANY OF THE TRADITIONAL PORCELAIN MANUFACTURERS ARE FACING WITH DIFFICULTIES CAUSED BY THE RADICAL CHANGES OF ''THE TABLEWARE CULTURE''. PEOPLE'S EATING HABITSS ARE CHANGING RADICALLY AND TRADITIONAL TABLEWARE DOESN'T ALWAYS PLAY THE SAME ROLE IN THE SOCIETY AS IT USED TO IN THE PAST. THEREFOR I DESIGNED MY ''FASCINUS'' TABLEWARE, A WITTY JOKE/POWER SYMBOL THAT WILL ''GIVE POWER TO THE MANUFACTORY TO SERVE US AND SURVIVE IN THE UPCOMING FUTURE''.
